The Senior Benefits Specialist designs, develops, and implements benefits and retirement programs. Recommends and implements improvements to programs, services and processes. Researches and analyzes program design alternatives and tests proposals prior to implementation. Develops, compares, and standardizes all benefits, followed by an annual review process. Consults with management, human resources personnel, and employees regarding benefits and retirement programs and policies. Interacts with internal and external resources to ensure proper program/policy design and ongoing administration which complies with legal and contractual requirements.

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Nursing, related field, or equivalent years of experience.

Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Requires experience in the design; development; and administration of benefits and/or retirement programs.

Requires knowledge and understanding of benefits programs and policies.

Requires ability to apply and understand a variety of technical regulations and laws (e.g. ; ERISA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.).

Requires experience with matrix organization and complex work environment.

Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
