Your role at Clorox:

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a position as a machine operator to operate, maintain and troubleshoot production line equipment at our Wheeling, IL facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production lines operate efficiently with minimal downtime while adhering to site safety practices. The Packaging Department’s purpose is to safely supply high quality finished cases of product in a safe and efficient manner that meets customer requirements and minimizes costs. The purpose of this position is to perform all line activities to meet production goals and ensure product quality

Pay Rate: $26.00 / hour + $1.35 Shift Differential
Work Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Shift Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule

• Week 1: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
• Week 2: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off

In this role, you will:

• Supply packaging materials to line as required to ensure efficient operation.
• Inspect finished goods during the run, help to identify and correct routine quality problems.
• Safely and efficiently participate in changeovers, operation, and troubleshooting of various unit ops on assigned line.
• Enter production information and notes into SAP.
• Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
• Maintain all safety, GMP, and area housekeeping standards.
• Train other Machine Operators in their responsibilities.
• Complete accurate QA checks.
• Complete CILs and maintain Centerlines.
• Perform any assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as defined by management
• Safety is a core value at Clorox; therefore, all employees must perform all their work in accordance with OSHA and Clorox safety standards.

What we look for:

• The minimum of 3yrs. Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is ideal.
• Strong attention to detail, able to follow established procedures and protocols.
• Work periods of 12 hr. shifts
• Familiar with packaging equipment, manufacturing production lines, and efficiency along with processes.
• A resume is required
• Successful completion of core competency training.
• Can demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize work area to 5S standards.
• Able to follow established procedures and protocols, compliance with OSHA & DOT standards.
• Ability to understand and use network computer applications and electronic mail.
• Ability to make decisions using sound judgment based on available information.
• Completion of level appropriate skill blocks.
